Journey To Gabon
Dajla and Benji flew to Libreville, Gabon to work with local musicians and dive in gabonese/Bwiti culture with danse director/hip hop danser Herwann Asseh (founder of the Moral Soul company) around his upcoming 2008 solo project called "99". They hooked up with traditional Bwiti (the Pygmy religion) musicians at CCF (French Cultural Center) and recorded a few sessions with them.
They also were guided by the incredible Hugues "Tatayo" Poitevin, founder of the Non Governmental Organisation "Ebando" who introduced them to the Bwiti cuture and religion, the ancestral Pygmy rituals, including an all-night ("Veillée") celebration with masters of Ceremony from different pygmy tribes, thrown in the Matrix, the source of the Universe, a unique experience, spiritual, human, musical journey through time and space.
Dajla and Benji also met incredible rappers, with a special collaboration started with Secteur C crew: Don Master, Méthodick, Dan Boy and Lloyd. Secteur C is now about to hit your hears with their blasting flow and lyrics… more soon!
The show will be created this fall, with Dajla and Benjamin writing the music and this will all be ready for March 2008, bookings all around Europe, America and Africa.

"I Don't Care" Video
Dajla's first video extract from Soul Poetry was conducted by Cinecréatis's students (School of Cinema and Arts of Nantes). This first result is full of soul and travels back and forth between past (40's) and present times. It is a claim for self fulfilment, and refusal to let other's criticism rule one's life and beliefs.

Death of unique jazz bagpiper Rufus Harley
Rufus Harley, that you might have heard on several great records -like the "Do You Want More?!!?!?" album from The Roots- died on July, 31st. We had the chance to meet him at the last Transmusicales Rennes Festival on Dec. 2005 where he played with Byard Lancaster and Jalal Nuridin from The Last Poets; we will remember him as a great musician and unique human being.
